Technology

I few days ago I went to my post office to buy a couple stamps. My choices were to stand in a long line to use cash or use a debit or credit card. The purchasing of stamps for cash at a separate automated window has been removed. It made me think of how technology has changed and is changing things. In 1956 not every one had a telephone, and the telephone was in a booth or building connected by a wire. Now even children carry one in the pocket and radio waves are used in the connection. I can understand that shortly people will need a card to buy and sell, and shortly it will be more feasible to have a chip put into a hand to carry that information and more that we now have on a card.
At the present time a chip can be put into a pet in case it gets lost. Years ago when social security numbers were first instituted some people refused claiming it was the beginning of the “Mark of the beast” What do you think? Is this technology a pre-cursor?
